Dave Nelson (Auctioneer) grew up on a farm in west central Minnesota. Being the only boy in a family with five girls, he worked hard and was occasionally rewarded by being allowed to attend farm and household auctions. He called it his “dad time.” After more than 34 years of teaching and 26 years of coaching, Dave retired in the fall of 2004 and in the spring of 2005 attended World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. He has been doing fundraising auctions ever since, and enjoys interacting with people and using his classroom skills as part of his auctioneering style.
He and Jan (his wife of 43+ years) often find themselves traveling, doing volunteer work and enjoying their two young grandchildren. Dave is excited about entering his 11th year with the Fladeboe team.
